Since you have bad credit, you likely won't qualify for as much money as someone else would in your shoes. Because of this, you need to keep these figures in mind when you plan for the building of your new home. A good way to save money during the process is to apply for bad credit construction loans that work as a construction-to-permanent loan. Instead of paying the complete balance of the loan when the house is finished, it will turn into a mortgage loan. This means that you will end up saving a lot of money and building your own home will be a lot more possible.
Just because you have bad credit doesn't mean that you can't build your own home. All this means is that you may have a harder time finding a good lender. Once you do, you will have nearly the exact same experience building your home as you would if you have excellent credit. Don't be discouraged by what others say. You can own your own home, and you can build it to your specifications and dreams.
